It’s 7 a.m. on Thursday, March 26 and while taking this shot I could hear the voice of Dave Mercer calling out boats for the start of the Mountain Dew Bassmaster Elite at Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway.
Flying conditions were ideal: 65 degrees and calm winds with flat water surfaces so you can see the habitat in play.
I chose to stay near the takeoff/weigh-in venue at Columbus Marina so I could get this gallery published sooner than later, had I locked through to pools above and below Columbus Lake.
