Aerial grass flyover on Champlain

What looks like a Florida lake from high above is actually Lake Champlain.

It’s 7;45 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13 at the SPRO Bassmaster Elite at Lake Champlain.
For this place, calm winds and smooth surfaces are a rare commodity of which to be taken advantage. I did just that with the astounding drone gallery that literally had me thinking that I was instead in Florida.
What appears to be surface vegetation is submerged five or more feet below.
What you’ll see are two emerging textbook patterns in this area. Those are boats targeting grass lines by vision and using 360-mode sonar with GPS mapping. And anglers targeting isolated areas of grass.
Boats began arriving at 7:35, or 35 minutes after takeoff uptake in Plattsburgh.
All of the anglers came here and for good reason. Check out the textbook grass patterns in play.
