Day 1 was sunny and calm. The start to Day 2 has seen clouds and windy conditions all over the Mississippi.
Interestingly, we’ve watched guys like Bryan New, Brandon Lester and Jay Przekurat all get off to a slow start, even though each of these anglers had “one cast” schools yesterday where they were able to make repetitive casts and catch dozens of fish.
Meanwhile, Scott Martin has jumped into the lead with an early limit, after he had to look on with frustration yesterday as schooling fish busted all around him and he couldn’t buy a bite.
The conditions have definitely shifted here, and the hot hands have changed as well.
