Talk has been of tough fishing, but this is Santee. Anglers may not be getting many bites but they are often big when they come. Masayuki Matsushita just boated this 5-pounder, giving him three fish for 9 pounds, 8 ounces total and the unofficial lead on BassTrakk.
Josh Douglas sits in second with the current Phoenix Boats Big Bass, a 6-pounder. Kyle Norsetter has a 5-6 in the boat, his only bass so far. Matt Robertson has a 5-8. Cole Sands has a 5-8 as well. Kyoya Fujita with a 4-pounder. Joseph Webster with a 5-pounder. Will Davis Jr with a 4-4, and the list goes on. Several of these anglers have only one fish I the boat, but it’s a good one.
