BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The inaugural Bassmaster College Classic Cup presented by Lew’s will reach an expanded audience Oct. 9-11, with live coverage of the championship event available on Scripps Sports Network and Bassmaster.com.
The newly rebranded College Classic Cup will bring some of the top anglers in college bass fishing to Wilson Lake in Florence, Ala., for a new three-day tournament format with the biggest prize package in the event’s history.
The stakes include a berth in the 2027 Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Classic presented by Under Armour and the Dream Package, designed to give the champion the equipment, financial support and tournament opportunities needed to take the next step toward a professional fishing career.
“This is an exciting evolution for college fishing and an incredible opportunity for these young anglers,” said Glenn Cale, B.A.S.S. College, High School and Youth Tournament Manager. “The Bassmaster College Classic Cup is about more than winning a tournament. We want to give these anglers a platform to showcase their talent and, for the champion, provide a real opportunity to take that next step in their fishing career.”
The addition of Scripps Sports Network gives fans another way to follow the action from Wilson Lake and expands the national exposure for B.A.S.S. college anglers competing for an opportunity to reach bass fishing’s biggest stage.
