B.A.S.S. has announced the 2027 Bassmaster College, High School and Junior Series schedules, featuring tournaments on some of the nation's premier bass fisheries and providing young anglers with opportunities to compete on a national stage while developing their skills and gaining valuable tournament experience.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — B.A.S.S. has announced the 2027 Bassmaster College, High School and Junior Series schedules, featuring tournaments on some of the nation’s premier bass fisheries and providing young anglers with opportunities to compete on a national stage while developing their skills and gaining valuable tournament experience.

The 2027 season will feature six Bassmaster College Series events divided between the Lunkers Trail and Legends Trail, along with four events for the Bassmaster High School and Junior Series. The schedules will take student-athletes to fisheries across the country, from Florida’s Harris Chain of Lakes to New York’s Lake Champlain.

The Strike King Bassmaster College Series presented by Bass Pro Shops will once again feature two distinct trails, allowing collegiate anglers to compete against some of the nation’s top student-athletes while representing their respective schools. The Lunkers Trail will visit Florida, Alabama and Oklahoma, while the Legends Trail will feature stops in Georgia, Tennessee and New York.

The Strike King Bassmaster High School Series and the Tackle Warehouse Bassmaster Junior Series will offer four events, beginning in Florida before traveling to Alabama, Arkansas and Tennessee. These tournaments provide young anglers with opportunities to gain competitive experience, build relationships and develop a foundation for continued participation in competitive bass fishing.

“These schedules reflect our continued commitment to providing young anglers with opportunities to compete on outstanding fisheries while growing their passion for bass fishing,” said Glenn Cale, B.A.S.S. Tournament Manager for College, High School and Junior Series. “We’ve put together a great mix of destinations that will challenge our student-athletes and create memorable experiences for them and their families. Whether they’re competing at the junior, high school or college level, our goal is to provide a competitive environment that helps them develop their skills, build confidence and take the next step in their fishing careers.”

The 2027 Bassmaster College Series Lunkers Trail will begin Jan. 21-22 at the Harris Chain of Lakes in Leesburg, Fla., before heading to Smith Lake in Cullman, Ala., Feb. 24-25. The trail will conclude April 29-30 at Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees in Grove, Okla.

The Legends Trail will open Jan. 28-29 at Clarks Hill Reservoir in Evans, Ga., before traveling to Watts Bar Reservoir in Kingston, Tenn., May 19-20. The trail will wrap up June 12-13 at Lake Champlain in Plattsburgh, N.Y., where anglers will have the opportunity to compete on one of the nation’s most renowned smallmouth bass fisheries.

“We’re thrilled to welcome the B.A.S.S. College Series to the Adirondack Coast next June,” said Alyssa Senecal, assistant director of tourism and marketing for the Adirondack Coast Visitors Bureau. “Lake Champlain has long been recognized as a world-class bass fishing destination, and there’s something especially exciting about welcoming the next generation of anglers to experience it. Alongside our partners at the City of Plattsburgh, we’re proud to host these student-athletes, their families and fans, and give them a taste of everything that makes fishing — and visiting — the Adirondack Coast so special.”

The Bassmaster High School and Junior Series will kick off Jan. 17 at the Harris Chain of Lakes in Leesburg, Fla., followed by Smith Lake in Cullman, Ala., Feb. 28. The series will then travel to Bull Shoals Lake in Harrison, Ark., April 11, before concluding May 23 at Watts Bar Reservoir in Kingston, Tenn.

The Bull Shoals event will introduce young anglers and their families to one of Arkansas’ most scenic fisheries, known for its clear water, diverse bass populations and picturesque Ozark Mountain setting.

“We’re really excited to bring Bassmaster and these young anglers and their families to our area,” said Richard Sciarra, director of sales for Explore Harrison. “An event like this is a great opportunity for us to showcase Harrison and Bull Shoals Lake to families coming in from all over, and we hope they get a chance to experience our community while they’re here. Sugarloaf Harbor Marina has been a great partner in helping us put this together and we’re excited to have them serve as our host site. We also couldn’t do this without the support of our local sponsors, Hunting Legacy, Bank of 1889, All American Refrigeration and Insane Labz. We’re proud to have local businesses step up and help us bring an event like this to Harrison, and we’re looking forward to making it a great weekend for everyone involved.”

Beyond the competition, the Bassmaster youth and college programs play an important role in introducing the next generation to tournament fishing, sportsmanship and conservation. The events also bring student-athletes, coaches, families and supporters to host communities, creating opportunities for local businesses and showcasing the recreational resources of each destination.

“One of the most rewarding aspects of these programs is watching young anglers progress through the different levels of competition,” Cale said. “We have anglers who begin competing in our Junior Series, continue through high school and eventually represent their colleges on the national stage. These programs are about much more than catching fish. They’re about building friendships, learning responsibility and creating opportunities that can last a lifetime.”
