Zaldain has just culled again. He’s gaining ounces. But not a lot of them.
He has missed a couple of 5 pounders that he knows he has to win.
In the middle of that last cull. He immediately threw out his smallest. But as he was going through the rest. He realized he had a fish that was distressed. He released that fish as well. Now he’s back to four in the boat. And probably closer to the 9 pounds he thought he had earlier.
Pretty gutsy call. He’s caught 8 or 9 keepers today, but only has 4 in the boat.
He’s obviously hoping for the big ones to come.
He is saying his bite will only get stronger as the day progresses.
