After watching Hackney for the last two hours or more only set the hook one time. And he missed that one.
We’ve had a little bit of excitement from an unintended source. Mike Iaconelli buzzed into the same pocket where Hackney is fishing and set up shop on the opposite bank. A few minutes later and Ike sets the hook. It was too short to keep. But it did require a minute or more to measure. A minute later and Ike set the hook on another. This one was obviously too short and went quickly back in the water.
Hackney never looked up. And then a few minutes later, Ike hooks up again. This one may have gone into the box. But it was too far to see. Either way it’s a welcome break to the slow morning.
Earlier when Hackney heard me yawn and I told him he was boring me to death. He said, “get used to it. You’ll earn your money this week.”
Looks more true for the anglers than those of us shooting photos and blogging.
