Who needs this win more, Kevin VanDam or Brett Hite? What I mean is, by winning, one of these guys has a guaranteed 2017 Classic berth.
KVD currently sits at 12 in Toyota Angler Of the Year points. Hite is 21st. A lot of people have said both guys are already in the Classic. But I don’t think that’s true. Hite could have a couple of bad tournaments at Potomac and La Crosse and miss the Classic. With VanDam at 12 he has more cushion.
By virtue of that logic I’m saying Hite benefits more by winning the Bassmaster Classic bracket today.
But that doesn’t mean VanDam is less motivated by any means. He’s an intense competitor. I’ve heard him say several times, he wants to win at everything, be it tiddlywinks or darts. He’s playing that way today, moving aggressive to a new spot every few minutes.
