Warm water and snagged jigs

Seth Feider is in the hunt, even though it’s early in the day and early in the tournament. He’s got four decent fish that had him inside the Top-15, as if the time of this writing.

The water temp in the areas he is focusing on is anywhere between 54 and 56 degrees, likely an important facet to his pattern. He’s working blow-down timber and is getting hung up every 10th cast or so.

Not a big deal, he says, that’s where they live. He’s as focused as I’ve ever seen him, making consistent and precise casts to every possible angle.

A big fish would go a long ways, especially on this fishery.
