Waiting for the sun

Jordan Lee and Kevin VanDam are fishing similar patterns, pitching soft plastics into holes in the grass. Lee mentioned yesterday how important bright sunshine is in being able to pick your spots.

VanDam addressed that this morning, saying, “I’m just biding my time right now until I can see a little bit. You really need that sun up in the sky to be able to see these holes in the grass. That’s what the fish are keying on. They’re spawning in the grass and ambushing bait.”

VanDam just made a short move south, his second hopscotch of the morning.
