The tide is now slack. That hopefully is the forebearer of better news for the leaders, and just about anyone else.
“The good part about fishing slack water is all it takes is about 20 minutes for it to turn around the other way,” noted Jacob Powroznik, currently in 24th according to BASSTRAK after taking third place yesterday.
He plans to move back to a primary area after it becomes inundated with the high tide.
“I didn’t do any good yesterday until after 10:30,” he added. “It’s an hour later today.”
On the flip side leader Justin Lucas experienced his best fishing early on Day 1. It did get better later in the day as the tide changed.
Stay tuned. Like Powroznik indicated it’s all about to change.
