With the field of 51 being cut to the top 12 at the end of the day, it’s time to take a look at where that’s likely to be.
In 2012, Todd Faircloth was in 12th place at the end of Day 3 with 53-4. That might be a pretty good number today as well, even though this week’s weights have been running a pound or two ahead of 2012 up and down the standings.
The 12th and final place in Sunday’s final will probably be decided by ounces. BASSTrakk currently lists 10 anglers – from 8th place through 17th place – with 51 pounds and change.
Dave Lefebre is in 18th place – somehow. That would be quite a story if Lefebre makes the final. He was in 100th place after Day 1 with 7-7. A bag of 21-5 moved him to 44th yesterday. It appears he’s got another 22 pounds today.
