The second day after a cold front is notoriously tough for bass fishing, especially concerning Florida strain bass. And it showed in yesterday’s results from Day 2 of the Bassmaster Elite at Toledo Bend presented by Econo Lodge.
In the following comparisons from last year’s event here and this year’s, you can see that the average weight of the bass weighed-in dropped from 2.81 pounds on Day 1 to 2.58 pounds on Day 2, and 10 fewer anglers caught a 5-bass limit. Also, the Day 2 difference of 20-pound bags from a year ago (15) and yesterday (2) stands out.
