Let’s not forget about the other AOY race underway. It’s for Toyota Bassmaster Rookie of the Year.
Coming into this tournament the race was between three anglers. Those were Jamie Hartman, Dustin Connell and Mark Daniels, Jr. After two days the race is tilting toward Hartman and Daniels. He is 43rd on the official scoreboard (10th in BASSTrakk). Hartman held down ninth and he’s currently and unofficially 33rd. Connell is a distant 43rd officially and 30th in BASSTrakk.
Most importantly, Hartman has 698 points, Connell has 684 points and Daniels has 614 points.
“Winning ROY was a goal of mine this year,” said Hartman.
Another goal appears to be achieved. That is qualifying for the 2018 GEICO Bassmaster Classic presented by DICK’S Sporting Goods.
