Taylor’s Bayou hasn’t been on fire but it has been steady.
We dropped off Spohrer and spent some time with Scott Rook. We watched Rook catch three keepers and a few dinks. He has about 7 or 8 pounds at the moment.
We switched off him to Matt Herren who is stuck on 4 keepers. And as we were running back we saw Spohrer catch a keeper. He’s culling. And like Rook has about 7 to 8 pounds.
Those are actually good weights for this derby. It will likely put them in good stead to make tomorrow’s cut if they keep it up.
Plus there’s a lot of day left. Middle of the day in many of these places can get good. The sun will position the fish on some of the cover these guys are fishing. At that point it will be all about timing and how gets a bite from that 4 pound or better fish.
