Keep in mind that Jesse Tacoronte started Day 2 in 78th place – 20 pounds, 7 ounces behind leader Ott DeFoe. It’s a reminder of how quickly an angler can turn it around on Lake Okeechobee. It’s unofficial, but Tacoronte’s got 29-4 in the livewell, which includes a 2 1/2-pounder.

Tacoronte caught a couple of 2-pounders after the 8-8, and has apparently added a 2-8 to give him 29-4 on the day. That bears repeating: He’s got 29-4, but still has a relatively small fish in his livewell to cull – a 2 1/2-pounder.
