Whether his day has been good, bad or ugly, Gerald Swindle always has an entertaining take when he comes on the weigh-in stage. But today’s might be particularly so.
Swindle has caught 35 keepers today, with a best five weighing 8 pounds, 5 ounces, according to BASSTrakk. That total has him in 19th place at 2 p.m. I’m going to assume his marshal recorded every fish caught, not just the 12-inch-minimum keepers, but maybe not. Whatever the case, it hasn’t been a big day for Swindle, but it hasn’t been a slow one either.
