With the clock approaching noon Gerald Swindle has moved into runnin and gunnin mode. He still has just has two keepers for 6-3. And those were caught in the first 30 minutes of the day. Since then he’s had several bites but nothing he could get into the boat. He’s changing things up now and moving more often. Swindle is a renowned junk fisherman, perhaps the best on tour, and it looks like he’s tapping into that strength. The tide is moving in strongly now, being pushed in part by a strong breeze. Swindle doesn’t need to win this tournament to stay atop the Toyota Angler of the Year standings. But he needs to avoid opening a big door for his nearest competitors to drive through. Just getting a limit today would certainly help his chances.
