The 2022 edition of the St. Johns River is the 8th visit for the Bassmaster Elite Series on this venue, meanwhile it’s the 24th visit for B.A.S.S. overall.
With that being said, every single trip to Palatka, Florida will result in big bass and big limits, but when they happen during an event is interesting.
Of the Top 10 biggest bass in St. Johns River Elite Series history, all 10 occurred on Day 1 or Day 2 of the tournaments.
Meanwhile, seven of the Top 10 biggest limits from the St. Johns have happened on Day 3 or 4 of tournaments. The only three instances, where a giant limit was weighed on Day 1 or 2 of a St. Johns River event, occurred in 2014 and 2012, when the fishing revolved around a grass bite specifically. Otherwise, they have only happened during the most important moments of a tournament, Day 3 and 4.
