Spohrer has somewhat of an advantage in this event. He’s grown up fishing very similar water in Louisiana. That’s a big plus when you compare so many of these guys got their start on clear water impoundments.
Another advantage is he’s practically by himself in Taylor Bay. We’ve seen Steve Kennedy and possibly heard another boat or two. According to Broussard, Spohrer is fishing some of the best water in the area. And the size class in Taylor Bay is bigger than in the two rivers where most of the field is fishing.
His loneliness could change by the end of the day or by tomorrow but for the moment he appears to be in great shape.
