Slow go for Lucas

Jacob Powroznik quote from this morning.

“You can fish your area out and they don’t repenish themselves as often during this time of year.”

The answer as to why fish do not replinish as often in a given area is a question that has stuck in my mind.

I  posed that question to Mark Zona for his expert analysis and here’s the logical answer.

“This time of year the bass don’t move as much,” he said. “The schools are more stagnant and stay in one place.”

It’s a good question and answer, considering this time yesterday Justin Lucas had practically wrapped up his day of fishing with 15-plus pounds.
