Elite Series rookie Justin Atkins said has one bass in the livewell, but it’s not one that will help him.
He said he’s really is disappointed with what he found in a series of canals off the St. John’s River after eyeballing spawners move in on Tuesday.
“There really aren’t the fish in her I thought there would be,” Atkins said. “I’m going to check one more canal, and if it’s like this I’m going somewhere and go fishing.”
The problem is time, since more than 3 hours was lost in this morning’s fog delay.
“I don’t have a lot of time to change what I’m doing,” Atkins said. “I hope o make the right decision.”
