Rojas fishing left-handed

On Saturday during Bassmaster University I ran into Dean Rojas behind the weigh-in stage. When I shook his hand he yelped in pain. Perhaps I don’t know my own strength. “What’s up Dean?” Turns out he injured his right wrist prior to this tournament. So he’s fishing Lake Texoma left-handed.

“We tend to do everything fast. Drive the boat fast, fish fast, move around the boat fast,” said Rojas. “Fishing left-handed has forced me to slow down.  It’s been real awkward. Feels like throwing a baseball left-handed. But that’s ended up being a good thing for me. It has made me fish differently.”

Since he made the top 12 here perhaps Rojas should consider fishing all the tournaments left-handed.
