Ripping Rat-L-Traps

It’s Day 1 of the first Bassmaster tournament of 2020 and there’s a palpable sense of excitment among the anglers and Bassmaster crew. The field of 225 boats took off this morning at 7 a.m. from Kissimmee Marina, and we’ve found a wad of them fishing on Toho near Red’s Fish Camp. They’re all out deep burning Rat-L-Traps or slow crawling worms through the grass. Steve Bowman and I haven’t seen any fish caught yet but it’s early and the sun is just beginning to warm things up.
