Those words just came out the mouth of Skeet Reese. The reason? He just boated a limit before many anglers have even settled into their first areas.
The limit came from shallow water and that’s a storyline worth watching today.
The wind is a huge factor. Winds are forecasted from the north at 5-10 mph. You can add a few miles as a multiplier when fishing on the open water of a lake like Mille Lacs.
Based on the wind a shift could occur in the baits that shine today. Drop shotting will take much more skill due to the boat control required to stay on a spot. On the flip side the anglers fishing moving baits might excel.
