The Sunshine State is known for producing record catch type experiences but the record Johnston was referring to was the prop change he had to make on his Garmin trolling motor after breaking it on a tree while trolling to banks looking for another cull fish.
With the day winding down and Johnston having to make the long run back from the South end of Lake George, the Power Pole Pro might be running out of chances to forge his way into Championship Sunday.
Regardless of how things play out over the next half hour or so, Johnston has certainly been around the right fish today.
