Just inside the Top 10 to begin Day 2 of the Guaranteed Rate Bassmaster Elite at Chickamauga Lake, Chad Pipkens makes a long run from takeoff to an area he’s sharing with two other anglers. The Suzuki Pro is catching his fish primarily on a crankbait; however, in true fall fashion, he does have 10 rods rigged and on the front deck.
Pipkens admitted that his practice wasn’t as tough as everyone else discussed. The Douglas J Salon Pro from Michigan knows that sacking five fish is critical to advancing into Sunday.
A couple of factors could come into play today. It’ll be interesting to see what places reload following yesterday and with it being the weekend, what will the local boat traffic look like on a destination fishery that gets a lot of pressure.
