After spending some time trying to catch a big bass on bed with no success, Palaniuk has moved to another offshore spot and within a couple casts caught a good-sized bass that culled out his smallest fish. The wind is blowing in the area of the lake Palaniuk is in and a small crowd has gathered to watch him fish.
Before leaving his spawning area, Palaniuk said he would try some more offshore places as well as look for more spawning bass that were willing to bite. The spawning female he couldn’t get to bite he believed was as big as the 8-12 he caught late in the day yesterday, and he spent around two hours trying to catch it. He did catch a male that was in the same spot, but it did not help his overall weight. Palaniuk already has over 25 pounds today, after landing a 6-1 at 12:33.
