Myers hopes to cap his best week

Mid-day has been when Britt Myers caught his best fish this week, and he's got to add a couple in the 4- to 5-pound range to improve significantly from the 13- to 14-pounds he got now. He has caught plenty of fish today, just nothing of any help since he moved from East Sugarloaf Creek to West Sugarloaf.

While on the phone, Palaniuk caught his limit fish, giving him about 9 1/2 pounds.

A little too much wind

Britt Myers wished for wind to turn on the bass in Bull Shoals, but he got a little more than he asked for in East Sugarloaf Creek. When the wind picked up about an hour ago, big white caps started rolling right down the pipe.

Wind has picked back up

The wind has picked up with a vengeance. It's blowing in the 20 mile per hour range at the moment and shows no sign of letting up.

Wind picks up, fish activity too

Britt Myers has seen several indications that the fishing on Bull Shoals Lake today is going to be more like it was Thursday and Friday than on the slower day that came with the cold front Saturday.

Results from the water are rolling in. Two anglers already with limits. Britt Myers, who is sitting at number two, has 13 pounds, and is off to a fast start....

Myers cranking a little deeper

Unlike most of the Elite Series anglers in this tournament, Britt Myers has been fishing a bit further off the bank this week. He's targeting water in five to 12 foot depths.

Palaniuk adds third fish

Palaniuk has added his third fish. He now has about 4 1/2 pounds, which requires Myers to catch 17 pounds or better to catch him. That's possible. A few more keepers though and Palaniuk could be cursing.
