Mullins says 16-17 pounds a day will win Classic

East Tennessee Elite angler David Mullins has fished three tournaments here near the headwaters of the Tennessee River. “I think it will take 16-17 pounds a day to win this tournament,” he said. “It’s hard to get more than that consistently. I thought it would be higher than that, but then a local tournament got about that last weekend.”

Mullins drink of choice this morning is a healthy protein drink. He’s known as a guy who works out and takes care of himself. “You have to,” he said, referring to the rigors of the Elite season.
