Mullins landed 2nd keeper

David Mullins has landed his second keeper of the day. This one in the 3 1/2-pound range. That should give him two for about 6 1/2- to 7-pound range.

Any other place in the world and that is a fantastic start. Here it’s noted as just a “start.” Mullins didn’t weigh in a fish that small yesterday. And will likely have to cull both of those in his well to reach 20-pounds plus. But it’s early and no one in their right minds turns down 3 1/2 pounders this early.

We saw this yesterday. It seemed as if the bigger bites started coming later in the day. That was true for John Cox and virtually every angler in the field.

It’s fun watching every catch. But the real fun is just gearing up.
