BASSTrakk shows Chad Morgenthaler in second place with 20 pounds, 6 ounces. His main area on Lake Ontario is where he planned to start today.
“Yesterday morning I caught them pretty early there,” he said. “I have a time allotment for each place, and the fish are moving out.”
Morgenthaler told me yesterday, following his early morning success, that he went looking for new water.
“I’m glad that I did, because about 1:30 was when I caught my best three fish of the day,” he continued. “I didn’t have a lot of time to further explore it, but I will today.”
Morgenthaler added the new area is loaded with potential to produce big fish using his chosen pattern.
“I plan to do a lot more fishing, and a lot less looking.”
If he’s out on the lake, that might be a good idea, considering the unfavofrable southwest winds that are on tap for Saturday.
