As the anglers takeoff from the Sampit River, they have a decision to make: turn north for quick access to the Waccamaw and Pee Dee rivers (and others) or turn right and head south down the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway for the long run to the Cooper or Santee rivers. It took leader Carl Jacomsen an hour and 45 minutes to get to his spot in the Cooper River yesterday. Forty-one other anglers made the trip south today, at least seven more than on Day 1
