Davis called his shot and got bit on a key tree. He thought it was too small at first but it was running at the boat. When he realized it was a 2-pounder he started to play it gingerly around the boat. Unfortunately for him, the bass pulled free.
“There’s a whole school of them laying up under there,” he said. “But I don’t think they’ll bite now.”
Plenty more trees to fish.
“I can’t believe I lost that fish. They haven’t been real easy to come by that size. At least for me.”
