Turkey and cheese is the lunchtime choice of Pipkens who still has just one fish in the boat. The Michigan pro is seeing fish on his Humminbird 360’s but getting them to munch is a different story. “Where ya at fish,” Pipkens has yelled a few times trying anything to stir some activity.
Not one to sit in one spot long, Pipkens has made a number of short runs hoping to run into a bite. He’s now moved off the main lake and he’s trying his hand in a pocket where there’s evidence of submerged timber and bait.
Pipkens isn’t due in until 4:30pm today and knowing the bite picks up after 1pm has the Douglas J Salon Pro ready for an afternoon climb amongst the leaderboard.
