Brandon Lester is having another big day on Lake Guntersville, and that’s not a surprise. As the Fayetteville, Tenn., pro said yesterday, “I’ve got quite a bit of experience here. I’m not going to call it my home lake, but it’s as close to home as I’ll ever get to fish an Elite Series tournament probably.”
Lester was asked about any “sneaky spots” he might have, which few others would know about. Actually, he found one this week. Lester has long known about a roadbed that has some sweet spots on it, where he concentrated on Day 1.
“Actually, the place I’m catching them, I didn’t know about it,” he said. “I found it during practice for this tournament. Lowrance just came out with that new C-Map, and it’s on there. I never knew it was there. I think it is sneaky. I don’t think it’s very well-known yet.”
Lester smiled and added, “It may be after this tournament.”
