Expect this week to watch the top of the score board turn over frequently, and without notice. The reason are the quality bass expected to be caught this week from a very healthy Sam Rayburn Reservoir.
Already that roll over has occurred several times based on the strength of a good bass. John Murray and David Mullins both caught largemouth weighing 4-5 to put them near the top. That, of course, is according to the BASSTrakk data provided by the judges.
The point is that when the really big bass bite heats up the potential for someone to come from the back of the pack to the front is highly probable. Anglers I spoke with yesterday admitted to catching double-digit bass during practice.
This could be one of those weeks when you are out of contention and can easily get back in with just one huge largemouth.
