Turns out Gary Klein didn’t give up on his honey hole, he was just giving it a rest. We’re back on the bank of Wheeler’s main channel, where Klein is fishing about as close to the bank as you can get in a bass boat. For that matter you really couldn’t get any closer in a kayak. See photo. Klein has added another 1 pounder. He has three bass in the livewell now, for maybe 4 and a half pounds. The water temperature here has risen two degrees since we checked it early this morning, to about 70 degrees. Klein feels that will help his bite.
