Photographer Seigo Saito and I drove thirty minutes up the Santee to find Kelly Jordon, who was already here. We thought we’d be early. Kelly is working a small pocket from every angle. Three other boats were with Kelly when we arrived. It’s the weekend, and spectators are going to be on whoever has the hot hand. In a small area such as this, that could be a problem for Kelly. So far everyone remains at a respectful distance. The only sounds are Kellys reel spinning and Seigo’s machine gun Canon, click click click.
