Jocumsen’s AOY jump

Yesterday Carl Jocumsen was 63rd in qualifying points in Bassmaster Angler of the Year. This morning, he moved up to 42nd, just three positions outside the cutline. That truly demonstrates just how much one good day here can make a difference for guys outside the cut that are grinding it out to get in.

The window of opportunity to do that will narrow next week at Lake Chickamauga, the other Tennessee River fishery on the schedule. Last week at Guntersville was a preview of what might be to come, which is a lake in transition, scattered fish throughout the water column, and less than ideal fishing.

Meanwhile, back at Santee the morning flurry never happened for Jocumsen. He’s moved on to his punching program.
