Jocumsen scores big – again

Carl Jocumsen hasn't had many bites this week, but the ones he's had have been good ones. Jocumsen caught a 4-pounder at 1:34 that gives him 15-1 and moves him into second place, according to BASSTrakk. And that's with 4 fish on each day, so far anyway.

That pattern fits with Jocumsen's practice. He said yesterday that he fished "from dark 'til dark" Monday and never had a bite, from dark until dark Tuesday and caught one 2-pounder, then went until noon Wednesday before getting two good bites, which included a 7-pounder, the biggest bass he's caught this year – in a tournament or practice, anywhere.

His first two bass on Day 1 were 5-pounders. He finished with 4 that weighed 14-7, which put him in 12th place. Jocumsen was the only angler in the top 29 who didn't have a limit.
