Ike has put on a show this morning on the way to jumping way out in his match up with Adrian Avena.
We’ve had two moments where he went a little Ike on us. The first after catching a 3-10 that looked bigger from our vantage point. And the second after he limited out.
It’s been fun but wet. Both of this “Ike” moments came during the heaviest rain and the darkest part of the morning, which sucks for a cameraman. But it’s still fun to watch.
What you aren’t seeing on Bass Live is how deep the water is where Ike is fishing. Those reeds are in 3- to 5-feet of water, while Ike’s motor is sitting in 30 feet. And we are sitting in 56 feet of water.
Pokegama may be small, but it’s really deep with some places as much as 100 feet deep.
What should be obvious, though, is these guys will start dialing it in today. The four who advance will likely have a stout game plan for the semifinal round tomorrow.
