Before the event started, it was rumored Mike Iaconelli said he was going to win, and that he had found the right fish. I heard it from reliable sources, too.
And now he’s in the lead.
A crowd of boats has gathered to watch his day unfold, as well as quite a few fans standing on shore watching anxiously.
BASSTrakk has him at 17 plus, and it’s hard to say if that’s accurate or not. Ike’s been known to “big eye” his bass sometimes, but I’m guilty of the same so no judgement here.
However, that’s a strong stringer anyways. Upgrading from there on this fishery under these conditions is not impossible, but certainly difficult.
With most of today and all of tomorrow yet, Iaconelli is in a good place to keep the heat on DeFoe.
