Derek Hudnall just landed his fifth bass, a 4-pounder that gives him 13 pounds for the day and puts him just more than 1 pound behind leader Gary Clouse.
His limit includes a 1-pounder, so he can easily cull up if he can get a hook into the big bass that are on the beds.
“I think they are locked in the beds,” Hudnall said. “I think some might be in post-spawn.”
Hoserver, BASSTrakk shows Clouse has yet to fill his limit. So if he could widen the lead again with that fifth fish.
