Steve Bowman and I are awaiting the arrival of Day 1 leader Carl Jocumsen. We’re sitting in the area where he caught his 19+ pound bag yesterday. This spot on the Cooper River is approximately 107 miles from takeoff.
We’ve heard Jocumsen is currently stopped for gas. I must admit that we did not make the long, bone jarring run up the Cooper. We drove here and launched the boat from a nearby ramp. That gave me time for a biscuit and coffee. Hey sometimes we have to use our brains to stay ahead of the anglers!
