Matt Herren and Brandon Palaniuk are wearing it out. Sitting side by side the two Elites are catching smallmouth every few minutes. Between the two of them they’ve caught 20 today, and Herren tells us if you totaled up their full weight they’re getting close to 100 pounds.
“I’m clearing out the 3-pounders for you,” Palaniuk told Herren with a laugh. After Herren caught back to back 4-pounders he said, “It’s only a 4-pounder.”
Herren’s now in second place in Basstrakk with 21 pounds. Palaniuk is in sixth place with 19-10. They’re right next to each other in AOY standings too. With Herren at 20 and Palaniuk at 21. Both comfortably inside the Classic cut. These boys are having a good time today.
