Greg Hackney entered the day in third place and is off to a quick start again on Lake Marion. At 8:15 he landed his third keeper of the day and shortly after landed his fourth, a good-0sized bass. Hackney is in the same area of the lake he started in yesterday, pitching a Strike King Rage Bug at shallow cover for spawners. He isn’t sight fishing, however. His last bass was entered into BassTrakk as a 4-pounder and is unofficially leading the tournament at this time.
Calm sunny conditions could mean another big day for Hackney, who mentioned yesterday everything is setting up for what he would expect to be “the perfect storm.”
