Today is a busy day on Lake St. Clair. Up for grabs is a Bassmaster Elite Series blue trophy, valuable Toyota Bassmaster Angler of the Year points. There are many competitions rolled into one.
There also is another form of competition. It’s Saturday on Lake St. Clair. That means more local pressure. And guides being paid to put their clients on fish. Matt Lee just found that out.
Garrick Dixon just sent this video. Nearby in another boat is fellow photographer Seigo Saito. Everyone has the right to be here, but it’s a bit of a bummer for Lee. Here’s how the exchange went between Saito, Dixon and the guide. I’m adding that since you can’t hear in the video.
Saito’s camera boat driver: “This angler is fishing for $100,000.
Guide: “It’s a big lake.”
Dixon: “Why do you need to stop right here?”
