Good news, bad news for Christie

It’s 8:45 a.m. and right on time, Jason Christie arrived at his fishing location.

The good news? He got there with one more gallon than previous days.

The bad news? Rising water has covered up his casting targets from previous days.

The outcome is scattered fish, as they have more room to roam in the flooded conditions.

“Yesterday, some of this was three feet out of the water,” he said.

A lack of current is another negative factor. The still waters are also muddier.

“It’s just got everything backed up.”

Christie remains confident he can save the day, and no one else fishing today has the advanced skills to decipher the challenges of fishing in shallow water with heavy cover.
